2 NYPD cops injured after squad car flips on its side in Chelsea

An NYPD vehicle flipped on its side early Tuesday in Manhattan, footage posted online shows.

The marked police car is seen in Citizen app video in the far right lane near the intersection of 11th Avenue and 27th Street in Chelsea.

The cruiser was heading south on 11th Avenue when it struck three unoccupied parked vehicles around 6:15 a.m. and flipped onto its side, police said.

There were two injuries, one serious but not life-threatening and one minor, authorities said.

It’s not immediately clear what caused the accident.

Both victims were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, fire department authorities said.
