2 dead, 7 injured in drive-by shooting during Houston rap video filming

Gunmen ambushed a Houston rap video set in a drive-by shooting Friday, leaving two people dead and at least seven injured, police said.

A group of Hispanic men in their 20s were filming the video in an office park in a residential area of Harris County when the assailants attacked around 9:30 p.m., the Houston Chronicle reported. 

“This is a very serious situation … This is a residential neighborhood; a lot of shots were fired, and we have an extensive scene out here stretching several blocks,” Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said at press conference.

It’s unclear what started the fight or if the group shooting the video fired any shots.
