Questlove was once so committed to his disco theme at a New Year’s Eve party he was DJing that he refused to play any Drake music after the rapper arrived.
“I think to this day Drake thinks I’m the worst DJ ever,” says the “Tonight Show” bandleader and Roots drummer, who will spin at the West Hollywood Edition hotel on Tuesday.
These days, he’s a little less hardcore on the holiday.
“By 11:30, everyone’s so drunk anyway that all bets go out the window,” says the Roots drummer, whose “Questlove Supreme” podcast currently airs on iHeartMedia.
