Inside the drunken debauchery of NYC’s SantaCon 2019

Retch the halls!

Hundreds of red-suited revelers jammed New York City’s streets Saturday for the 21st annual SantaCon parade and pub crawl, which kicked off at 10 a.m. at Father Duffy Square on Seventh Avenue, between 46th and 47th streets.

Most of the festive partiers will be making the naughty list this year, it seems.

A twenty-something from West Virginia apparently didn’t have the stomach for the Saturday soiree. He puked and was seen passed out on the pavement outside the back entrance of McDonald’s on 42nd Street, between 7th and 8th avenues.

His West Virginia pals, Jeremy Ochopeyo, 22, and Adi Wilson, 22, called an Uber to drive their fallen comrade back to their Airbnb.

“He’s perfectly fine. We’re gonna keep partying,” an amused Ochopeyo said.

Prior to passing out, the inebriated pal couldn’t make it to the bathroom and “pissed in the middle of the McDonald’s in front of a child,” Ochopeyo said. “Some woman [there] said ‘I have f—ing child.’ I said, ‘I’m just trying to get him out of here.’ And here he lays.”

Long Island’s Bri Belajonas, 21, said her group started drinking at 7:30 a.m. and their mission was “to get drunk and have a good time.”

New Jersey’s Angel Rodriguez, 37, confessed it was his first SantaCon. He and his friends started imbibing at 10 a.m.

“If you’re in Vegas, you drink. So that’s what it is. We’re here,” Rodriguez said. “You see gift boxes, snow globes, but you also see [people] passed out on the floor.”

Among the celebrants were two manly-men who sported ugly Christmas sweaters and holiday ornaments dangling from their Santa beards. Candy-cane cuties also joined in the festivities.

Gramercy resident Malcolm Jones, 33, said he spotted “a beautiful young lady dressed as a present. She wore just the wrapping tape.”

Jones recommended the annual event because “I met my wife at SantaCon. She’s chilling today, she’s like, ‘Go do your thing.’”

Rosella Tursi may have spoken for many New York City residents when she tweeted, “Worst day of the year if you live in the East Village.”

The alcohol-fueled extravaganza, which started in San Francisco in 1994 and came to New York four years later, is an international phenomenon — with more than 60 SantaCons in the US and across the world.
