Suspect in murder of Ole Miss student Ally Kostial pleads not guilty

The man accused of gunning down fellow Ole Miss student Ally Kostial pleaded not guilty on Monday.

A stone-faced Brandon Theesfeld, 22, was walked to Lafayette County court in an orange prison jumpsuit and shackles — and stayed mum as reporters asked whether he’d killed the sorority girl, WREG3 reported.

Theesfeld, a Texas native and former University of Mississippi student, is charged with capital murder in the death of his classmate, whose bullet-ridden body was discovered near a lake July 20, about 10 miles from campus.

Before her murder, Kostial, 21, reportedly confided in her Alpha Phi sorority sisters that she was pregnant with Theesfeld’s baby and that he’d been upset when she told him.

“Brandon found out but he was dating someone else,” a pal told the Daily Mail. “He wanted her to get an abortion. I think morally she didn’t want to do it.”

When cops tracked Theesfeld down, he was allegedly wearing bloody clothes and keeping a weapon inside his truck, local outlets reported.

Last month, Theesfeld’s attorneys requested a psychological evaluation for their client at the Mississippi State Mental Hospital.

At the time of her death, Kostial had been taking summer courses, teaching yoga and pilates and starting a golf club.
