Donovan Mitchell tweets to Zendaya, gets trolled by teammate

Can’t say Donovan Mitchell didn’t try.

On Friday, the Utah Jazz guard, 23, tweeted to “Spider-Man: Far From Home” star Zendaya, who appeared to respond to the news of Sony and Disney striking a deal, allowing the famed web-slinger to remain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After the actress, also 23, posted a gif of a dancing Spidey, Mitchell replied: “RUN IT BACk,” with a slew of smiley emojis with its tongue sticking out.

Mitchell’s teammate, center Rudy Gobert, caught wind of the message to Zendaya, and responded by raining on his friend’s parade.

“You are 0/5 bro next time let me set a good screen for you,” Gobert tweeted.

Mitchell appeared to laugh at his own expense, or rather the four crying-laughing face emojis he replied with.

This isn’t the first time an NBA star has tried to get Zendaya’s attention on social media. Earlier this month, Warriors rookie Jordan Poole pressed teammate Klay Thompson, who has been linked to fellow actress Laura Harrier, about a double date, according to SportsGossip.com.
