Disneyland goes Bollywood at couple’s 2-day ‘fairy tale’ wedding

They shared the happiest days of their lives at happiest place on earth.

Newlyweds and Disney fanatics Varun Bhanot and Anisha Seth tied the knot in a two-day, Bollywood-inspired celebration at Disneyland Paris, complete with a ceremony outside Sleeping Beauty Castle, four dress changes and a first dance shared with Mickey and Minnie on the dance floor.

A guest list of 350 people made it to the couple’s wedding weekend, on September 6 and 7. And every moment of their celebration was completely Disney-fied: attendees were treated to an Aladdin-inspired banquet with Middle Eastern and Indian cuisine, and later danced to bhangra with Goofy.

Seth told SWNS their “fairy tale wedding” was the start of their own “happy ever after.”

“I know our guests had a great time,” said Seth. “I think it was definitely one of those things that you know has never been done.”

“Paris is the city of love — that all played into the idea,” Bhanot said.

The two are longtime Disney fans and went to Disneyland Paris over Valentine’s Day to scope out the venue. They also both have a background in event planning, which came in handy as they put together the big bash over the course of about a year.

“We thought we would put our heads together and do something a bit different,” Bhanot said.

The couple has not revealed the cost of their wedding, which was partially subsidized by park officials, though the bill likely ran several tens of thousands of dollars. Wedding packages at Disneyland Paris resort are priced between 32,000 and 55,000 euros ($35,000 to $60,000 USD), according to their website. And a booking at Orlando’s Magic Kingdom during their after hours could set lovers back some $30,000 or more — which does not include drinks, catering or cake.
