A Thai model has been busted for allegedly taking an unconscious woman home, having sex with her — and then leaving her lifeless body in his building lobby, officials said.
Ratchadech Wongtabut, 24, was arrested Wednesday on charges including abduction with the intention of committing an indecent act in the high-profile case.
Police said that the 25-year-old victim, Thitima Noraphanpiphat, may have been already been dead when he brought her back to his Bangkok apartment.
The young woman, who goes by Lunlabelle, was working at a private party from which Ratchadech brought her home on Sept. 16. She was hired as a “pretty,” someone who seductively promotes products.
An autopsy determined that she died from extreme alcohol intoxication.
But there has also been speculation that she was slipped the date rape drug known as GHB, which is difficult to test for since it disappears quickly from the bloodstream, ABC News reported.
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Lt. Gen. Sutthipong Wongpin said Wednesday that Ratchadech admitted to bringing Thitima to his apartment — but denied knowing that she was dead.
