Sean Spicer launches new campaign — to win ‘Dancing with the Stars’ votes

Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer has launched a new campaign — to propel him to “Dancing with the Stars” victory.

The “Spicer Arnold 2019” website, dedicated to the much-lampooned ex-Trump administration mouthpiece and his professional dance partner Lindsay Arnold, is complete with a yard-sign worthy red-white-and-blue logo and a video.

“This fall, let’s finally vote for someone who represents people like us,” an announcer intones in an election-style ad, “Paid for by the Spicey Committee,” over hilarious footage of Spicer bungling dance moves in the rehearsal studio.

“I’m gonna fight for every American that’s been overlooked and forgotten because they lack rhythm and moves,” Spicer promises.

Spicer’s dance debut Monday, a salsa performed in an outrageously ruffled neon-green satin shirt to the Spice Girls’ “Spice Up Your Life,” was panned by the show’s judges.

“It was like you were being attacked by a swarm of wasps,” snarked Bruno Tonioli.

But Spicer may still have a chance at winning the Mirrorball trophy. Viewer votes, taken through texts and online votes, get combined with the judge’s scores. The performing couple with the lowest overall score gets sent home each week.

On the site, you can learn how to vote for Spicer, and also bid to win his infamous green shirt.

Proceeds from the “campaign fund” will go to charities that benefit wounded veterans.

Spicer’s addition to the cast kicked off a wave of protest among anti-Trump fans of the show — and opposition from its host, Tom Bergeron, who said he argued with its producers against “divisive bookings.”
