The distraught New Jersey mom told by authorities that pictures of her missing teen daughter have shown up on sex-trafficking websites posted a desperate plea for answers Saturday on Facebook, as she defiantly declared: “The streets can’t have my daughter!”
Aviana Weaver, 17, was last seen on Sept. 12 in Mount Holly, NJ, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Her worried mother, Angelica Scarlett, said earlier this week that investigators found “pornography pictures” of her daughter on trafficking websites, and she looked “completely upset and unhappy.”
“The streets can’t have my daughter!” Scarlett posted Saturday morning. “I will be there everyday on the street until she is home !!! I won’t stop – Share let’s get her !!! Someone knows something !! Speak she is a minor and in danger !!”
Weaver’s phone was last pinged in Philadelphia, but it was shut off.
Weaver attends Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mount Holly, her mom said.
“She’s never done this before,” Scarlett told New Jersey 101.5. “This is her senior year. She went to school for the first few days and then disappeared. She missed an eye doctor appointment. She doesn’t have any clothes. This is not like her. She hasn’t been known to be on any drugs. We don’t have family or friends in Philadelphia. It’s completely out of character and scary.”
Weaver is of mixed race — black, white and Hispanic — around 5 feet 4 and 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, according to the missing children agency.
