Giants vs. Braves: Johnny Cueto will pass his biggest test

It’s the end of the road for Mayor Bill de Blasio and Antonio Brown. De Blasio announced his presidential campaign is over while the Patriots cut ties with the troubled Brown. Good news, bad news for New Yorkers. The Jets will not see Brown this weekend, but the city will unfortunately be seeing a lot more of our brilliant leader.

Mr. Blutarsky! 0.0! … Mr. Johnny Cueto, ERA 0.00, has been as perfect as Brother Bluto since returning from Tommy John surgery. The Giant has made two starts, tossing 10 innings at the Pirates and Marlins who managed four hits. He will be tested Saturday facing the first-place Braves. Atlanta’s Max Fried is 16-6, but 0-2 in his past two starts, allowing 10 runs over 7 ¹/₃ innings. We will take Mr. Perfect and the Giants for 10 units.

The Mets are alive after bloodying the Reds, 8-1. Jacob deGrom was awesome again, scattering four hits over seven shutout innings. Pete Alonso hit home run No. 50. In the red at -524 neidermeyers.
