Browns’ Myles Garrett fined for ugly hits on Trevor Siemian

Browns defensive end Myles Garrett isn’t getting off easy for ending Trevor Siemian’s season.

Garrett was fined $41,112 for two roughing the passer penalties in Cleveland’s win over the Jets last Monday, The Post’s Brian Costello has confirmed, the second of which resulted in Siemian suffering a season-ending ankle injury.

“I know who I am, and the guys within these walls [know] who I am. That’s not me,” Garrett told reporters of the ugly hits. “I’m not going to do anything to try to hurt this team or try to take out any player outside of the rulebook.”

The Jets, who are also without No. 1 quarterback Sam Darnold (mononucleosis), have no choice but to start third-stringer Luke Falk this Sunday against the Patriots.
