Brooklyn man charged with making death threats to Missouri prosecutor

A man who did time in Missouri for assault and who moved to Brooklyn after his prison term has been charged with making death threats against the prosecutor who worked his case — telling her in a phone call, “Remember me?” and “You are about to die.”

Scott Allan Smith, 38, was arraigned in Brooklyn federal court on Friday on charges that he called a female prosecutor from Callaway County, Missouri on Aug. 3 — just six months after serving a five-year sentence for assault — and peppered her with vicious threats.

“You remember me, don’t you? Well I just want to tell you, you are about to die … that little girl in the background is going to watch you die,” Smith said, according to court papers.

The victim has a 5-year-old daughter who was present at the time of the call, the papers state.

Smith continued to hound the victim throughout the day with threatening texts, prosecutors allege.

“5 years I’ve been waiting for what’s about to happen,” Smith allegedly texted. “I’ve fantasized about it every single night for years… My life for your life.”

In the texts, Smith also accuses the victim with “conspiring” with a domestic violence officer to “f–k my life up.”

If convicted, Smith could get up to five years behind bars.
