Facebook worker dies after jumping from building at Silicon Valley HQ

A Facebook employee died Thursday after jumping from the fourth floor of a building at the company’s Silicon Valley headquarters, police and reports said.

The man leapt from a building at the tech giant’s Menlo Park, California, campus at around 11:30 a.m., police said.

A preliminary investigation found no signs of foul play, cops said.

A Facebook spokeswoman confirmed the incident and said the company was reaching out to the worker’s family.

“We were saddened to learn that one of our employees passed away at our Menlo Park headquarters earlier today,” the spokeswoman said in a statement.

The staffer was a full-time software engineer at Facebook, a source told Bloomberg.
