Adrian Peterson apparently hasn’t forgiven Redskins for benching

It seems like Adrian Peterson is holding a grudge against the Washington Redskins for his Week 1 benching.

During an interview with a local Washington, D.C. television station, Peterson said while he wouldn’t barrel over any of his teammates, he would do so to Redskins higher-ups.

“If you can just put on a helmet and get a football and just truck one player from this team, just high knees, run them over, who would that be?” WUSA’s Darren Haynes asked the running back.

“I don’t think there’s one guy that I would just want to run over that’s on my team,” Peterson, 34, replied.

After a long pause, Peterson added, “Now if you would’ve said the front office, I could’ve had a couple options.”

As he said it, Peterson looked right at the camera, laughed and stuck his tongue out.

Peterson and fellow Redskins veterans were furious that he was a healthy scratch in Week 1. Washington needed him last week with Derrius Guice suffering a knee injury.
