Veteran cop busted for allegedly selling drugs, taking bribes

An NYPD officer was busted Wednesday morning for allegedly dealing drugs and taking bribes, police sources said.

The 36-year-old officer, Ishmael Bailey, was scheduled to appear before a judge in Queens on Wednesday.

As of 5 p.m., the 11-year veteran of the NYPD had not been arraigned, according to the Queens District Attorney’s Office.

Bailey, who was arrested by Internal Affairs officers the district attorney’s office, is facing charges of possession and sale of drugs, taking bribes as a public servant and official misconduct, according to officials and sources.

Bailey was suspended without pay following his arrest, NYPD said. He was previously assigned to building maintenance.
