Instagram model: I was thrown in roach-infested Thai jail for passport mistake

A 28-year-old Scottish model and Instagram influencer claims she spent a day in a filthy, roach-infested Thailand jail cell because two pages of her passport were missing, according to a new report.

Lacey Montgomery-Henderson left Scotland on Sunday, flew to London’s Heathrow airport and then jet-setted to Bangkok, Thailand for a work trip — where she was set to spend time with other bloggers and models, The Scottish Sun reported.

But instead she spent 24 hours in a Bangkok prison cell — days before her 28th birthday — before she was allowed to return home.

The Glasgow model, who boasts about 283,000 Instagram followers, was stopped by authorities who noticed the missing passport pages, removed after a “liquid spill” five years ago, according to the report.

Passport control officials repeatedly told her, “Can’t accept your passport, can’t accept your passport,” the outlet reported.

Then authorities reportedly took her into custody, telling her to “sit down and shut up.”

In a since-deleted Instagram post obtained by The Scottish Sun, Montgomery-Henderson told her followers that she was thrown into a “stinky” 12-bed cell with other women for 24 hours.

“I feel responsible to make sure no one else ends up in a situation like that,” the influencer wrote. “I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, they treat you like animals and it’s an experience I won’t forget quickly.”

She claimed that she’d traveled to other countries, including Spain and the US, with the passport pages missing.

No specific details of the ordeal remained on her page Wednesday morning.

Her most recent post shows her dressed in a black crop bandeau top and bikini bottoms, with a short knit black skirt over them.

“Here’s me before I was banged up abroad,” she captioned the photo. “In case anyone’s wondering I’m currently taking a course in how to make a shank and say ‘no thank you i have an STI’ in Thai.”

A recent Instagram story showed friends greeting her with a “Bangkok prisoner” sign and two balloons — the numbers “2” and “8” for her birthday.

“[Lacey] was humbled by the 1000’s of messages mostly from strangers and has been non-stop replying to keep her going,” a source told the Daily Mail.
