Off-duty NYPD cop arrested for threatening motorist with gun

An off-duty NYPD cop was arrested for allegedly threatening a motorist with his gun following a dispute at a red light in Queens, police said.

Officer Philip Case, 49, who was slapped with a menacing charge, got into an argument with another man at the corner of Van Doren Street and 108th Street in Corona about 10:15 p.m. Friday, authorities said.

With both cars stopped, Case flashed his gun and then sped off once the light turned green, cops said.

The victim called police and Chase was arrested a block away.

It’s unclear what prompted the argument, but police said both Chase and the victim remained in their vehicles during the confrontation.

Chase was released after getting a desk appearance ticket for the offense.
