Details emerge about man who tossed milk at NYPD cops

Details are starting to emerge about the cop-hating Bronx milk-thrower, who apparently doesn’t even live at the building where the incident took place — nor was he drinking the milk.

“Only reason people had milk is because [cops] were pepper spraying everyone,” a resident told The Post on Thursday night, declining to be named.

“Everyone over here got sprayed,” they said. “(Milk) helps with that.”

Police had been called to 1454 Grand Concourse on Tuesday, along with firefighters, after receiving a report of a fire on the 6th floor. Cops said a crowd of people who had been asked to evacuate formed outside and became rowdy.

Several residents, declining to be named, said officers whipped out pepper spray at one point and began using it on the unruly group. NYPD officials could not immediately confirm whether this occurred when asked late Thursday night.

“People started coming when they saw all the cops,” the first resident said.

Another person who lives at the building told The Post: “People got mad…They said they were trying to get back into the building.”

Video posted on Instagram shows the cowardly milk-thrower targeting a male cop not long after the alleged pepper spraying.

Asked about the suspect, the second resident said: “That guy isn’t from this building I would have recognized him.”

Another person added, “No one knows who that guy was, a lot of people like to hang out over here.”

Cops were still searching for the man on Thursday night. He’s wanted for assault.
