Yoga wasn’t the only weird thing Tom Brady was doing on the sideline last week.
Looking for any way to pass the time during the Patriots’ preseason finale against the Giants, Brady cut some hair off the head of rookie linebacker Chase Winovich, the long-locked lineman out of Michigan.
Brady didn’t play last Thursday and was apparently very bored. The 42-year-old was doing yoga at one point, including a bizarre “Karate Kid” pose.
There seems to be a budding bromance between Brady and Winovich, who last month quoted Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar in the caption of an Instagram photo. Brady replied to the post with “Study your playbook.” Winovich answered, “yes dad right away!”
Winovich, who has been turning heads this summer on the field, posted a photo over the weekend of Brady sizing up his hair, to which Brady replied, “Sunday…the time has come!!!! I’m sharpening my scissors now.”
Brady already gave rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham a buzzcut. We’ll see how long Winovich can keep his flowing mane.
