Four bodies have been recovered in Monday’s California boat horror, authorities said.
The bodies, which were found near the fire-ravaged craft, had injuries consistent with drowning, a Coast Guard official said.
Thirty more people — all passengers on a three-day diving tour around Santa Cruz Island off Southern California — are still missing after a blaze tore through the 79-foot boat early Monday. The passengers were sleeping below deck when the flames broke out and became trapped, officials said.
The trip’s five crew members, including the captain, were rescued.
