Fotis Dulos demands psychiatric test for Jennifer Dulos’ mother

The Connecticut real estate developer charged in connection with the disappearance of his estranged wife, Jennifer Dulos, wants her mother to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, according to a new report.

Fotis Dulos has requested that his mother-in-law, Gloria Farber — who currently has custody of his and Jennifer’s five children — undergo the exam, citing her past mental health issues, Greenwich Time reported.

Farber said the request “demonstrates his capacity for cruelty” but that she’d be happy to sit for the test — if he agrees to undergo one as well.

Her lawyers also called Fotis’ motion a “distorted, self-serving reference to a private, health-related issue that was resolved many years ago.”

“His effort to not only publicly shame Mrs. Farber, but in essence shame any person that has appropriately addressed a mental health issue, sends a poor message to his children,” the lawyers wrote in their own motion filed Saturday.

Tensions between Fotis and Farber have flared as his divorce proceeding with Jennifer continues to play out in Connecticut court. The mom has been missing since she was last seen on May 24 dropping off the children at school.

Fotis and his girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, have been arrested on charges of tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution. Prosecutors alleged the pair dumped several trash bags containing items soaked with Jennifer’s blood after her disappearance.

Fotis has since been fighting Farber for sole custody of his children, whom he has not seen since his arrest in early June.

The in-laws are also duking it out in civil court, with Farber suing Fotis for $2.5 million, claiming he failed to repay business loans his real estate development company, Fore Group, took out, Greenwich Time reported.

As part of his countersuit, Fotis’ lawyer has asked a judge to order Farber to post a bond to protect Fotis’ business assets in the event he wins the suit. The lawyer said the case has negatively impacted his business.

A judge will hear arguments about that aspect of the case later this week.
