If there’s any question as to whether Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade and team president Pat Riley are enjoying their summer, just sit back and “Listen to the Music.”
Video posted Sunday to Wade’s 14 million-plus Instagram followers shows the 37-year-old future Hall of Fame guard dancing with Riley, 74, aboard a yacht off the coast of Saint-Tropez, France, as the Doobie Brothers’ eponymous 1972 hit blares in the background.
Wade, 37, tries to keep up with Riley as the former NBA coach sashays on the deck while both are sporting costumes that appear straight out of a live-action “Aladdin” rendition. The video, which has been viewed more than 673,000 times, sent Riley trending on Twitter as of midday Monday as the rest of the sporting world and some celebrities took note and applauded.
“OK this right here … is content,” the official Miami Heat account replied on Instagram.
Miami Heat big man Udonis Haslem, meanwhile, didn’t miss the chance to offer his two cents while asking how the unorthodox Labor Day weekend celebration took shape behind the scenes.
“My only question is who picked out those outfits?” Haslem replied. “If it was anyone else, I would’ve said Pat!!!”
Another user joked that Riley was actually celebrating the addition of All-Star guard Jimmy Butler “without any cap space” after the team signed him to a four-year $142 deal in July, but Wade and wife Gabrielle Union were in France to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary over the holiday weekend.
The actress shared a second snippet of herself dancing alongside Wade and Riley, playfully referring to herself as a teacher who was helping out her “students,” according to the post, which shows Riley briefly checking his phone as Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” can be heard playing on deck.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell also chimed in, saying “that’s the way to enjoy boating,” while another person said used the opportunity to take a shot at Riley.
“Guy on the right def pulled a muscle,” one critic wrote.
Wade later posted another shot in his Aladdin-inspired garb, complete with a faux tiger resting behind his arm.
“This IS Retirement,” Wade wrote.
