New victim from Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting identified by cops

An additional gunshot victim from the Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting has been located and identified, according to California cops.

“The adult male victim sustained a grazing wound to his head that required stitches,” said Gilroy Police officials in a tweet Thursday. “This brings the total number of people struck by gunfire to 20, which includes the 3 victims who lost their lives.”

Officials did not offer an explanation as to why it took so long to find and identify the 58-year-old man.

The mass shooting, which is being investigated as a domestic terror incident, happened on July 28.

Suspected gunman Santino William Legan took his own life after the massacre.
