Subway service on several numbered lines will be disrupted during the Monday-evening rush hour, the MTA warned — after the same lines ground to a halt during Friday’s commute.
As of 5 p.m., no 2 and 5 trains were running in Brooklyn due to a switch malfunction between Franklin Avenue and President Street, MTA officials said.
Southbound 2 trains were ending their runs at South Ferry and 5 trains at Bowling Green.
@MTA what's going on with the 2,3,4,5 trains in Brooklyn this afternoon? On Friday I was stuck for 3 hours and today it has taken 1.5 hours to go a single stop.

Trains on the 3 and 4 lines, meanwhile, were running express between Atlantic Avenue and Utica Avenue. Those trains were also suffering delays in the Manhattan-bound direction due to an assault on a conductor at Borough Hall, the MTA said.
Flatbush-bound straphangers should take the 3 or 4 trains to Franklin Avenue, where shuttle buses will be running, or just take B or Q trains, the MTA said on Twitter.
The debacle comes after the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 lines were shut down for more than 90 minutes Friday evening due to a software glitch. An MTA spokesperson said Monday’s and Friday’s incidents are not related.
