Police release footage of gunman who struck an 11-year-old in East Harlem

Police released surveillance footage from the moment a gunman opened fire on a crowded East Harlem street on Sunday, striking an 11-year-old boy in the leg.

Cops said they are searching for the gunman who fired off the shots at 3:22 p.m. near the intersection of Madison Ave and E. 108th Street.

The suspect can be seen wearing a white t-shirt and darting across the street with the firearm in his hands.

Amid a flurry of gunfire, an 11-year-old boy was struck in the leg.

The boy was at least the tenth unintended shooting victim since the start of June.

He was taken to Harlem Hospital Center, where he is expected to recover, authorities said.
