Disneyland experiencing shortest lines in decades

Wednesday is the 64th anniversary of Disneyland, but you’re the one that gets the present: in addition to today’s planned “Happiest March on Earth” — with more marches planned this week — you can experience insanely short wait times, and enough space to do cartwheels in.

While some visitors griped earlier this week that it’s a “ghost town,” others are now focusing on the upside of smaller crowds.

Patrick Finnegan, vice president of Disney’s California Adventure, tells the OC Regisgter the park hasn’t seen such low wait times in decades.

Wait times for Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean are roughly half of what they usually are this time of year, at 20 to 30 minutes, Yahoo News reports.

Twitter was lit Wednesday with plenty of pleased patrons — and one tweeter even thanked “holy zombie Jesus” for some sweet relief during what is typically Disneyland’s “insanely packed” summer season.

But while Main Street may be roomy for visitors, it’s a different story in the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge compound.

Fans are melting in the sun waiting for the Smuggler’s Run flight simulator ride, which allows visitors into the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. It’s one of the two main attractions, and the only one now open in Galaxy’s Edge.

The second, The Rise of the Resistance, opens in January of next year.

But even here the wait times are significantly shorter than what was initially projected. While they started out strong with a three-hour wait, current wait times have dipped to 30 to 60 minutes, sometimes spiking at 90 minutes, according to Yahoo News.

So far Wednesday, times have wavered between 65 minutes and 80, as registered by the official Disneyland app. And in an email from a Disney rep, officials tell The Post they are pleased, adding that they’ve received positive guest feedback on the interactivity of Galaxy’s Edge.

So, if you’ve ever felt the need to hop on the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, your time is now.
