Man shot in the face twice — and survives — in Harlem

A man was shot in the face twice and survived, police said.

The early Saturday shooting was one of two violent incidents just blocks from each other in Harlem, where a second shooting victim died of his injuries.

The first victim, 22, was shot in the mouth and head shortly before 1:30 a.m. in the area of Lenox Ave. and West 128th St. — and will most likely live to tell the tale.

He was taken to Harlem Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and is not cooperating with police, authorities said.

Investigators are looking for two shooters who were wearing hooded sweatshirts, who are believed to have fled in a black minivan, cops said.

Just hours later, a ShotSpotter was activated near West 133rd St. and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. — about five blocks from the previous shooting.

Cops arrived at the scene around 4:15 a.m. and discovered a 26-year-old man had been shot in the torso and right shoulder, police said. He, too, was rushed to Harlem Hospital, but could not be saved.

Cops are still investigating the incident and no arrests were immediately made.
