RBC Canadian Open: Take a look at Dustin Johnson and two long shots

The RBC Canadian Open is back at Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Ontario for the sixth time, and first in seven seasons. With it sitting a week before the U.S. Open, the field is pretty strong, featuring defending-champ Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas, in addition to Scott Piercy (25/1), who won the event in 2012, the last time it was played here. (Odds from Westgate SuperBook.)

Here are a favorite and two long shots worth a wager:

The Plays

Dustin Johnson (11/2): It’s an awfully short price for DJ, who hasn’t played since coming up short vs. Koepka at the PGA Championship. Finished second twice in this event before winning it last year.

Jim Furyk (40/1): The rebirth of Furyk’s game continues in 2019 with three top 10s and eight top 25s, including a second at the Players Championship.

Ryan Palmer (50/1): Has five top-10 finishes this year, including a sixth two weeks ago at Colonial.
