Man fatally stabbed at Memorial Day party on Staten Island: cops

A Staten Island man was stabbed during a fight at a Memorial Day party — then stumbled the three blocks home before fatally collapsing in front of his girlfriend, police said Tuesday.

Gregory Fortson, 23, was mortally wounded in the torso around 11:30 p.m. Monday during a brawl in front of 144 Harrison Ave. in Port Richmond, cops said.

Fortson then made his way about three blocks to his home on Castleton Avenue near Sharpe Avenue, where he found his girlfriend but was unable to speak, police and sources said.

Medics rushed him to Richmond University Medical Center, but he could not be saved.

Police are still looking for his attacker.
