Burglars don blond wigs, take off in minivan with $40K and jewelry

Two men wearing cheap blond wigs and surgical masks were among a group that held up a Queens social club for $40,000 in cash, cellphones and jewelry — before peeling off in a Toyota minivan, police said Friday.

The four suspects busted into the “members only” club on 37th Avenue near Prince Street in Flushing on around 9:15 p.m. May 21 armed with a shotgun and two handguns and demanded property from the victims, cops said.

The bandits, all described as Asian men, swiped about $4,700 in cash and at least another $35,300 in bracelets, watches and cellphones, police said.

One of the suspects was captured on surveillance video fumbling with the shotgun while sporting a baseball cap and bicycle helmet. The duo in blond wigs and surgical masks follow behind him with their heads ducked, while the fourth man, also in a surgical mask, tails them with a backpack in his hands.

The group was also caught on video fleeing in a Toyota Sienna minivan that went south on Prince Street.
