Bucs land Ndamukong Suh to immediately replace Gerald McCoy

Ndamukong Suh has found a new home in Tampa.

The Buccaneers signed the star defensive tackle to a one-year, $9.25 million deal, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. With incentives, the deal could be worth up to $10 million, Schefter reported.

The move will shore up a defensive line that will be operating without Gerald McCoy next season, after Tampa released him earlier this week. Suh (32) is of a similar age as McCoy (31) and has produced similar numbers in recent years despite fewer sacks. McCoy had six sacks last season and is a six-time Pro Bowler.

Alongside Aaron Donald with the Rams last season, Suh had 4.5 sacks and 59 tackles, helping anchor the defensive line. He moves to a Buccaneers defense that ranked 27th in total yardage last season.
