A small plane carrying a Geico ad banner made an emergency landing in a Staten Island park due to rough weather, cops said.

The pilot safely landed his single-engine aircraft at Miller Field in New Dorp just before 6 p.m., according to police.

The field was being used for soccer practice when the aircraft came in from over the water, according to witnesses.

“I saw a plane coming [from over] the water really low,” recalled John Consalvo, 55, of New Springville. “We were all watching it. It was coming down really low.”

The pilot then directed the plane over Miller Field toward nearby New Dorp High School, then turned back around and dropped the banner, prompting everybody on the field to take cover in the parking lot.

“He turned around and everybody ran toward the parking lot because it looked like he could crash,” said Consalvo.

The pilot ultimately landed upright, and was seen Monday night speaking with authorities outside his plane.

Nobody else was aboard and no injuries were reported.
