Giants make Division II speedster their third corner drafted

You can never have enough cornerbacks in the NFL.

The Giants added a third one in the draft by selected defensive back Corey Ballentine out of Division II Wasburn in the sixth round and 180th overall on Saturday. They had already picked Notre Dame’s Julian Love in the fourth round and Deandre Baker of Georgia in the first. Ballentine had a 4.47 time in the 40-yard dash at the combine.

In 46 games at Washburn, he recorded 186 tackles (113 solo), 10 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles.
