Officer and slashing victim struck by hit-and-run driver: cops

A police officer and a slashing victim were struck by a hit-and-run driver Saturday morning on Long Island, cops said.

Officers were responding to a 911 call at Mystique Hookah Lounge on Conklin Street in Farmingdale around 2:45 a.m. when they discovered a man running from the area with a slash wound to his neck, Nassau County cops said.

The victim collapsed in a nearby parking lot and police were tending to his injuries when a white minivan suddenly pulled into the lot, and crashed into the parked Nissan.

The impact sent the Nissan into a pedestrian, but the minivan driver kept going — barreling into one of the officers and the slashed man as he lay on the pavement — before fleeing from the parking lot, police said.

All three victims, including the female pedestrian, were taken to an area hospital, where the wounded man was in serious condition, authorities said. Two others were later determined to be hurt during the incident.
