Lindsey Vonn’s retirement starts with P.K. Subban and a couple of goats

When it comes to celebrating Lindsey Vonn’s accomplished career, P.K. Subban might just be the GOAT.

Vonn, who won a bronze medal in the world championship downhill on Sunday, called it a career earlier than expected after persistent pain in both her surgically repaired knees. She came home to Subban, her boyfriend and the Predators defenseman, who had prepared for her arrival with gusto and a camera to record the warm welcome.

“Oh, yeah, in the mix, officially retired!” he said. “Home sweet home!”

As if the warm welcome wasn’t enough for one of the most decorated Olympic skiers of all time, Vonn’s attention quickly turned to a cake on the table molded into the shape of — what else — a goat for the GOAT.

“That’s epic!” she said.

But that wasn’t all. Subban also had what appears to be a large plush goat waiting on the bed for Vonn.

While it’s a great move, you have to wonder what else he has prepared with Valentine’s Day just a few days away.
