30-man brawl breaks out after bizarre finish to MMA fight

A 30-man brawl broke out in an MMA fight after the referee failed to spot one fighter’s team throwing the towel in.

Felix Schifffahrt (5-0) was being brutally pummeled by opponent Omer Solmaz (7-1-0) at GMC 18 in Germany.

Schifffahrt had suffered enough and his corner opted to wave the white flag and literally chucked a towel into the cage.

But the ref failed to spot it after the white towel landed on the back of their fighter’s calf, which can be seen at the 2:45 mark of the video above.

Instantly realizing the referee had missed the concession, the team leaped over the walls of the cage and tackled Solmaz — and the ref — to help Schifffahrt.

That’s when all hell broke loose as Solmaz’s team also jumped in to protect their guy, having possibly also missed the towel being thrown in.

At one stage, there were nearly 30 bodies in the ring pushing and shoving each other.

The huge melee went on for another minute before calm was restored and Solmaz was declared the winner.
