Dwayne Haskins’ Giants hint turns into a tease

Dwayne Haskins is itching to start his NFL career, if you believe his social media feeds.

Haskins, a redshirt sophomore, recently decided to leave Ohio State to enter the NFL Draft — and he showed which colors he wants to wear next in a quickly deleted Tuesday night tweet that showed artwork of him clad in a Giants uniform.

“Don’t let me go back to the crib..” he wrote.

Before it was taken down, the post had accumulated over 3,000 retweets and 7,600 likes.

His Instagram story, on the other hand, features images of him in Bengals, Jaguars, Dolphins, Redskins and Buccaneers jerseys in addition to the same Giants image he shared on Twitter, the only one he shared on that medium.

In a recent Chicago Tribune profile, the New Jersey native responded to the thought of starting his career with the Giants, who need a solution with Eli Manning’s tenure coming to a close soon.

“I’m hoping for that too,” Haskins, 21, said.

The Giants hold the No. 6 pick in the 2019 draft, and Haskins is the top quarterback available in a draft short on talent at the position. With 11 total picks and some other needs to fill, GM Dave Gettleman has plenty to mull over — including a prospect who can already see himself wearing Giants blue.
