Free-agent superstar Manny Machado told his suitors he would make his decision in the new year.
But he might have hinted at which way he’s leaning Monday, when he started following the YES Network on Instagram.
Less than two hours after the world first began to notice the conspicuous follow, Machado then unceremoniously dropped the network from his feed.
Machado met with the Yankees, Phillies and White Sox and is in line for a potential $300 million contract, a number the Yankees said they would be unlikely to meet.
Still, the allure of the big city sometimes can be enough, and if Machado even briefly thought of keeping tabs on the Yankees’ television station, it stands to reason he’s more than passingly interested in the club.
Of course, it could also mean nothing. Before the YES Network, Machado’s most recent follow on the social media app was Hanic Beauty Bar in Miami. So it’s also possible the slugging infielder is considering becoming a hairstylist in South Beach.
