Ruth Bader Ginsburg is out of hospital after cancer surgery

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been released from a New York City hospital after cancer surgery and is recuperating at home, a court spokeswoman said Wednesday.

The 85-year-old Ginsburg was discharged from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center on Tuesday after having surgery to remove two cancerous nodules from her left lung last Friday, spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said.

Doctors have said there are no indications the disease spread or remains in her body.

Ginsburg has been treated for cancer twice — undergoing surgery for colorectal cancer in 1999 and for pancreatic cancer in 2009.

In November, she fell and cracked three ribs.

Despite the heath concerns, Ginsburg, sometimes referred to as “the Notorious RBG,” has not missed any arguments at the court.

She has said she would like to continue serving on the high court until she’s 90.
