This post office allows you to sip while you ship

After braving the holiday rush at the post office, just about anyone could use a stiff drink. One British bar has you covered.

The Plough Inn, in the village of Marsh Gibbon in Buckinghamshire, England, aims to help you run two errands at once by placing a tiny outpost of private UK shipper Post Office inside their bar, Metro reports.

Post offices are known for their truncated operating hours, closing before many leave work, and their habit of taking lunch breaks at the most inconvenient times. The Plough Inn is open from noon to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday — so you even get two weekend days to ship important parcels and still be able to nurse that hangover.

And the Brits are putting the two-in-one concept bar to greater use.

Nonprofit organization Pub Is the Hub, which provides greater access to private-sector services to communities by partnering with pubs and breweries, helped a postmaster in Eaton in Norfolk, England, place a post office in the Cellar House pub when he feared the local branch would close due to lack of assistance. It also provided more foot traffic in a bar that would otherwise be slow during the early opening hours.

One thing a post office pub probably won’t help, though, is the seemingly inevitable public squabble that ensues between the mail master and one fed-up customer.

They might want to consider upping security so no one goes postal.
