Woman slashed stranger on bus who tried petting her dog: cops

A woman slashed a stranger who tried petting her dog aboard a city bus in the Bronx — then turned the blade on a good Samaritan who intervened, police said.

The 22-year-old victim was aboard a BX19 bus around 2:30 p.m. near East 149th Street and Morris Avenue in Melrose when she touched the woman’s dog, prompting a fight between them, according to cops.

That’s when the enraged owner took out a sharp object and slashed the woman multiple times across her face and head, police said.

She then turned her attention to a good Samaritan, 23, who stepped in, slashing her once in the left arm.

The suspect got off the bus and fled on East 149th Street towards Grand Concourse, cops said. She’s still on the loose.

Both victims were taken to Lincoln Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, cops said.
