Thief has a ton of trouble trying to steal huge TV from front porch

A clumsy crook was caught on camera swiping an enormous TV off someone’s porch — but not before tripping over it and desperately trying to jam it into a getaway car.

Police are hunting for the bumbling bandit who made off with the pricey 4K flat screen in Fort Washington, Maryland, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.

The man, wearing neon green gloves and a dark hoodie, can be seen on surveillance video hauling the massive package off the porch — then tripping and falling over it as he attempts to make a mad dash across the front lawn to a waiting silver sedan.

He fumbles for several seconds trying to pick up the TV and cram it into the back seat before realizing it won’t fit. He then tries the trunk, which is also too small.

Trying the back seat once more, he wedges the TV in and hops into the passenger seat as the car peels away — with the trunk and back door still wide open.

“As the holiday shopping season gets into full swing, there have been numerous package thefts committed throughout the county,” cops said on Facebook, along with a screengrab of the thief.

“This pictured suspect stole a large tv from a home in Fort Washington.”

The police also issued a series of tips to shoppers to prevent such thefts, like getting packages sent to their workplace, picking up items at the store or making sure someone is home for a delivery.
