The age-old sports debate over who would win in a matchup between the worst NFL team and the top college squad just got a little more interesting.

The Bills currently sit in the basement of the NFL’s AFC East division at 2-7, having lost four straight. Their much-maligned offense has provided a league-worst 96 points, with a trio of quarterbacks combining for three touchdowns on the season while tossing 16 interceptions, though the Buffalo defense ranks among the league’s better crews.
Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide is the country’s near-unanimous No. 1 FBS team at 9-0 and tops in the SEC at 6-0. It’s the only team to make the College Football Playoff in all four years of its existence, winning the whole thing twice, with another shot at the NCAA title in the cards this season. Alabama has become a pro football factory, producing a number of NFL talents with a roster full of future first-round picks, including QB Tua Tagavailoa leading an offense that averages 51.3 points per game this season.
A matchup that pits a team of professionals – physically mature and fundamentally sound players making millions for having perfected their crafts — against a squad of raw, still-developing teens and early 20-somethings probably wouldn’t be the spectacle fans and pundits would want it to be, though a four-touchdown line seems low — even if Nathan Peterman is starting under center for the Bills.
