Red Sox fan arrested for pelting Alex Cora, daughter with beer

Someone threw an open beer at Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora during the team’s World Series victory parade on Wednesday — drenching him and his daughter.

Cops wound up arresting a local Massachusetts man, identified as Patrick Connolly, 19, of Sandwich, after they “observed” him tossing the can at Cora’s duck boat.

No one was injured, according to police.

Connolly was charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, minor in possession of alcohol and disorderly conduct. He’s expected to appear in Boston Municipal Court.

Countless beer cans were hurled at Red Sox players during Wednesday’s parade, one of which pelted a World Series trophy belonging to Boston. Another almost nailed MVP candidate Mookie Betts.

Officials told the Boston Globe that at least one person in the crowd had to be hospitalized after getting hit with a beer. They reportedly received stitches.
