No cops needed for this Kyle Lauletta Giants commute

Kyle Lauletta got to work safely on Wednesday.

A drive to the Giants facility without getting arrested allowed the rookie quarterback to return to the field and practice in the team’s last session before leaving for the bye week, a feat that went awry the day before.

After Lauletta was arrested Tuesday morning for dangerous driving and other offenses on his way to East Rutherford, forcing him to miss practice, it remains to be seen how coach Pat Shurmur will handle the discipline.

“This is not going to be taken lightly,” Shurmur said Tuesday on his weekly WFAN spot. He said, “We’ll see,” when asked if Lauletta would be suspended, but a considerable fine is likely on the way.

The Giants won’t practice again until next Tuesday as Lauletta tries to prove he could be ready to replace Eli Manning under center at some point in the second half of the season.
