Cardi B cancels concert at Forbes 30 under 30 summit

Rapper Cardi B was a scratch at the Forbes 30 under 30 summit in Boston on Sunday, where she was slated to perform as well as serve as a speaker on one of the musical panels over the four-day event.

Forbes had to be getting nervous in late July when she canceled the 24K Magic Tour as the opening act for Bruno Mars.

The singer said it was too soon after the birth of daughter Kulture for her to join the tour.

But she was apparently back on her feet by fashion week in Manhattan on Sept. 10, when she reportedly got into a fight with Nicki Minaj in which she was said to have thrown a shoe at Minaj and gotten a bump over the eye from Minaj’s security detail.

On Oct. 1, she was turning herself in to the NYPD for fingerprinting and a mug shot on the misdemeanor assault charges stemming from a dispute at Angels Strip Club in Queens.

A Cardi B spokesperson did not return Media Ink’s calls or e-mails seeking comment on her absence from the Forbes powwow.

“Advertisers were livid,” claimed one source, who said Forbes was still scrambling two weeks ago to line up alternate headliners for the event, which attracted 8,000 attendees.

A spokesman for Forbes insisted that it knew two months ago — although a Google search revealed no news of the cancellation but plenty of headlines earlier in July that she was appearing.

“Cardi B dropped out of the Under 30 the same day she announced she was pulling out of the Bruno Mars 24K Magic tour, citing parenting needs. We would have loved to have had her,” said a spokesman.
