Serial arrestee gives shoutout to sheriff’s deputies: ‘Always a class act’

Law enforcement officers aren’t the bad guys — even in the eyes of this admitted scofflaw.

Deputies from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office in California shared a social media post on Monday from a person who wrote that they want to “hate” the sheriff’s office but just couldn’t bring themselves to do so.

“Not even when [y’all] arrest me,” a screenshot of the Facebook message read. “You have a dangerous job AND thankless job AND even though I’m usually breaking some damn law, I wish you all the best, AND stay safe.”

The cordial message continued: “Shout out to Eden substation. Always a class act.”

Deputies did not indicate who sent the message, which had been liked 133 times and retweeted 25 times as of Wednesday.

“Hard not to appreciate the honesty of this message,” deputies tweeted while sharing the message. “Thanks for the candid review and we appreciated your support.”

The post also caught the eye of user whose profile indicates she’s a cop in Canada.

“This is actually amazing,” the woman replied. “Speaks volumes to your professionalism.”
