A Manhattan mogul allegedly scammed by a much younger husband also got cleaned out by an ex-lover, his family claims in court papers.
As much as $400,000 worth of art, gifts, furniture and collectibles belonging to Edward Bazinet, 73, who made about $100 million selling ceramic Christmas villages, were taken from a Queens storage unit “within hours” of Bazinet’s November death, according to a Brooklyn Supreme Court lawsuit.
Ex-lover Wouter Deruytter kept a key to the unit after he and Bazinet’s 15-year relationship ended in 2012, the family claims.
“It’s not true, absolutely not true,” Deruytter told The Post.
Deruytter insists he took only his own belongings from the storage unit — and was dedicated to Bazinet even after they split.
“I would have still been with him,” he said, blaming Bazinet’s bipolar disorder for their breakup. “The allegations come as a shock to me.”
Bazinet’s family has claimed his final months were a blur of alcohol, pills and neglect at the hands of a greedy spouse, Brett Jordan, 43.
Jordan, who married Bazinet a year ago, has denied the allegations.
