Subway groper creeps on lady, gets what he deserves

He groped the wrong gal.

A feisty Staten Island woman fought back against a creep who groped her in a Manhattan subway station — by chasing him down and grabbing him back, according to video footage released by the NYPD.

Chantal Castanon, 26, who lives in Emerson Hill and works in real estate, was descending a staircase at the 42nd Street-Grand Central subway station at 2 p.m. on Aug. 31 when the perv squeezed her rear end, according to cops.

She had been walking toward the 4/5/6-train platform when the creep, who was climbing the stairs, grabbed her left butt cheek.

The gutsy gal sprung into offensive mode, chased him past the turnstiles and whacked him several times before grabbing his arm, the video footage shows.

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” the groper wailed, according to cops. But he eventually broke free and ran away, police said.

“He messed with the wrong victim,” one police source said.

Castanon’s boyfriend, who asked not to be identified, wasn’t surprised that his partner had pounced on the creep.

“Anybody would react that way. It didn’t surprise me — I mean, you gotta defend yourself. That’s like a predator,” he said.

Cops are hunting for the groper, described as 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 and approximately 225 pounds. He was last seen wearing eyeglasses, a green shirt, dark shorts and sneakers.

No arrests had been made as of Friday evening, authorities said.

In July, a tough woman bravely fought back against a sicko who pummeled her and tried to rape her on an Upper West Side street.

The next month, a brave lady also fought off a man who tried to rape her in the entrance of a building in East Harlem — and managed to scare him away.
